Sunshine Glorious Sunshine!!!!!

Now if only we can convince the sunshine to stick around for the next 9 months or so, I'd be a happy camper!

Getting the yard ready for spring

Today's other adventure

Mostly the plan was just to stay home and watch conference and basketball. But Travis and I each had errands to run so he took the munchkin with him earlier today. I was quite surprised when they came home with a fishing pole for Gideon. Especially since Trav isn't going to be here this summer to take him fishing. The only real answer I could get out of Travis was, "But he wanted it." Uh-huh. I'm sure he did when you plopped him down in the fishing aisle and pointed to the brightly colored children's fishing poles.

Anyway I digress. Naturally this couldn't just stay in it's package and be put away until father and son can actually use it. No, no, it became a toy for all them.

And we quickly realized that this fishing pole was as much entertainment for the adults as it was for the cat and the kid.

Gideon's New Decoration

Don't ask me why Travis decided that Gideon's beautiful Beatrix Potter nursery need a war plane. But there it is. His plan is to eventually decorate the entire room in a theme of classic war planes therefore expelling Beatrix Potter from the room entirely. And what's so wrong with Beatrix Potter?

PS - Notice Gideon's shades. He found them the other day and since then he loves wearing them around the house!

DECEIVED!!!!!

This morning I heard a strange sound coming from outside my bedroom window as I struggled to wake up. Birds. It was birds chirping. "But it can't be," I thought to myself, "That would mean spring is coming." I listened for a few more moments wondering if it could really be true. And finally I decided that it wasn't my imagination. There were definitely birds chirping outside.

Excitedly (or as excited as I could pretend to be at such an early hour,) I threw back the covers and ran to the window. Imagine my disappointment when this is the scene that greeted my eager eyes:

I had a great time playing at your house and getting to know you both better. (And Emily, Ashley and Ryker too!) It was really, really fun! And the food was good. (What little of it I ate and didn't throw on the floor!) We should do this again sometime!

Maybe next time you can come and play at my house! My mom will even make quesadillas. I can't hardly wait!

A New Favorite Game

Oh and here's our countdown to sunshine chain! Only 32 more days!!!!!! Given the fresh snow that's falling outside right now, it can't come soon enough!

Got a new camera today so that Travis will be able to take ours to Guam. Just testing it out!

Sunshine Here We come!!!!!

We've asked Cami and Lily to save us some of that great Florida sunshine because we bought our ticket today and we'll be there on May 5th!
