Well today I entered my registration for the Myrtle Beach Half Marathon in February. So now that I've invested money, I'm committed I guess. Which means I have to go through with this. It was one thing to brag on here that I was going to run a half marathon sometime next year, but it's entirely another to actually have signed up for it.
I can honestly say I'm equal parts nervous and excited. I can't run again until the first week of November, so that only gives me three months to train. That just doesn't seem like enough time to work up to 13.1 miles. But oh well. I guess I'm going to do it somehow.
For those who want an excuse to have a beach vacation in the middle of winter, you should come & play with us! If you register before Monday you save $10! They have every level of race from a 5K to a full marathon, so there's something for everyone. The link is www.mbmarathon.com.

Good for you!! I would come, but I will already be at the beach. Maybe you and Gideon will get to see new baby girl Guffey!!
That's the way to do it! I so admire you doing this. I need to read that book you recommended about running. What was the name of it again?
Melissa Jane,
The book is Born to Run by Christopher McDougall. It's so awesome! It totally changed the way I view running!
