How did you spend your Mother's Day?

I don't know about your Mother's Day, but ours was spent just as it should be. Relaxing and spending time with our kiddos.

Jacob was so thoughtful, he got Cami and me corsages to wear to church. They were beautiful. Mine lasted about 30 minutes before Gideon ripped one of the flowers off. But still I very much appreciated his thoughtfulness.
After church we made chicken enchiladas and salsa. It was so yummy! But then we got our other surprise. Last night Jacob brought home an ice cream cake from Cold Stone. It was amazing!

After lunch and naps we play for a little bit. Gideon learned how to ride a rocking horse.

And then we went outside and fed the ducks!

Lily is a pro, but Gideon was a little nervous about them. Even so he had a good time.

Apparently Lily likes the stale bread as much as the ducks do.

After the ducks, we went to the play ground. Gideon and I went on the swings for a little bit. He has learned how to climb up and slide down the slides all by himself. He goes down feet first on his tummy most of the time. It's really cute.

Well everyone had fun, so we'll call it a success. And right now, I'm going back for some of that delicious chocolate ice cream cake!

When Gideon turns 12 we will teach him how kill and grill the ducks
