No way... let him have his thumb!

With Tristen, we couldn't get him to take a pacifier.. He just wouldn't have it. Loved his thumb. We caught him sucking his thumb in an ultrasound even.

The nice thing about that is that he can't have his thumb in his mouth and do something else requiring his hands at the same time.

With Trevor, he's a pacifier baby.. an all-the-time pacifier kid now. We try to take it away but he has secret stashes of pacifiers that he goes back to. This makes it hard to understand what he is trying to say and I'm sure in some way inhibits trying to get him to say words in the first place.

Anyway.. I'd much rather him be a thumb kid like his brother was. (no teeth problem with Tristen either)

All my kids have used pacifiers and all have been weaned off them between 9 and 18 months or so. No teeth problems there either. Just depends on the kid I guess.

I tried REALLY hard to get all of my children to take passifiers but none of them would. They didn't suck their thumbs or any thing, I just think passifiers are SO CUTE!
Weird...I know
